Another Yahoo Question (not recognized)
I have been procrastinating with the whole transition but finally remembered to do it today. One problem, I followed the instructions from Cox but Yahoo doesn't recognize my email. Tried it on my phone and now on my laptop and am coming up with nothing. If I'm being honest it could just be I'm dumb and not good at this kinda thing but at this point I'm stuck. Anyone had this same issue or know how to resolve? Or did I just miss the window for a normal transition?0Views0likes0CommentsEmail Switch to Yahoo and Outlook
Unable to connect Outlook using POP or IMAP instructions for Yahoo Mail. It appears Yahoo is not set up for Outlook to connect our Cox.net email accounts to their POP or IMAP servers (pop.mail.yahoo.com or imap.mail.yahoo.com). Suspect the servers are rejecting anything that isn't a yahoo.com extension. One would of thought Yahoo would have planned for this ahead of time for the Cox.net extensions. When I was able to talk with a person, their suggestion was to wait 24 hrs. and try again. i.e. trying too soon after the switch The switch to Yahoo mail is anything but good. Since switching, about half the time Yahoo is not available and/or takes repeated logins. Yahoo's AI chat bot (AKA Help) is not set up to be much assistance to those with a Cox.net extension. Yahoo wants you to pay for premium service to resolve all but the very basic issues. Always referring you to a tutorial on Yahoo's help page.... which most have already looked at before starting a chat.Solved3.3KViews6likes44CommentsUsing Yahoo email in Mac OS mail app
I have created my Yahoo account in my Mac OS mail, but I can't seem to bring it online-attempts to change it from offline to online are futile. Anyone with a Mac able to help? I tried Yahoo chat, the AI bot is useless and if I want help from Yahoo I have to pay. I can't stand Yahoo in the browser. I can't see the text very well b/c my eyes are old now. The ads are annoying and I will drop Cox before I pay for Yahoo premium. We were looking for a reason to switch to the new Verizon 5g box. Might be now. Thank you in advance.Solved2.4KViews3likes58CommentsMissing Archive Emails.
My Cox email archive folder shows 0 messages. Ironically, I just saved an email from U.S. Passport Office to the archive yesterday. Now, I have no access to the email. 04/18/2024 Puff it's gone. Years of important saved emails in the email archive folder... vanished. What can anyone do?6Views0likes0CommentsWorse service
Cox has the worse service in the world I pay over $200 for **bleep**ty service every night for the last 10 days my service keep cutting in and out. I wouldn't recommend Cox to anyone even if they were giving the service away for free.I would be quick tell people they do better using and antenna you'll get the same results.60Views1like8CommentsWorst wifi
I’ve had techs come out and tell me I have good signal but I do not. All my videos buffer and if you want to game you can go ahead and forget that because it will not load. I paid $90 for 500 mpbs so I should have no issue with my wifi. I’ve gotten a new modem and that did not help either. This has became extremely inconvenient for me and I would not recommend this wifi to anyone. Now I have to wait almost a week to get my new equipment delivered to get new wifi. Has anyone else had this experience with them?19Views0likes1CommentGigablast speed keeps dropping to 25-30MB`
Hello - about 6-8 months ago I signed up for Gigablast. It worked great. My speed wasn't ever close to a gigabyte, typically between 200-400mb. In the past week it keeps dropping to 20-40mb. If I reboot my modem it goes back to 200-400mb, for a very short while, then drops back down to 20-40mb. I don’t know what to do. I have an Arris SB8200 and a TP-Link Deco AXE-5300. Both are less than six months old. HELP PLEASE???7Views0likes0CommentsE-mail Transition to Yahoo! is a Mess!
Received two e-mails about Cox's transition of my e-mail account to Yahoo. Last one received March 6th that included transition FAQs (very few). As I use Outlook to access my e-mail, I noted the statement that said if I use a third-party app to access my e-mail I'd receive a follow-on e-mail with instructions to reconfigure Outlook. Well today Outlook is being rejected by Cox servers, or lack of, and I don't have any instructions on configuring Outlook to access Yahoo! using POP. I've been in a chat with Cox for the last 45 minutes and the person on the other end is more confused than I am. This is a VERY POOR roll-out.2.4KViews11likes23Comments
