This is my second day of having no internet access. I'm stunned that Cox finds it acceptable to refuse to even speak with customers calling about it. Their message said they don't have any idea as to when service will be restored. My concern is that if Cox doesn't have a clue as to the nature of the problem or any timeline for its fix, who does? This truly doesn't seem like a good way to run a circus! I’ve been having issues with my wifi for the past 3 days. It went from spotty to nonexistent. The light on the router keeps flashing, switching from flashing orange for a few minutes to flashing a white/green color for a few minutes and so on. When we switched to cox mobile from Verizon we were told that in home wi-fi calling was supported. Apparently it is only supported on iPhone and Samsung phones. We need this capability because our home does not have good connectivity to a cell tower. We knew this and made the decision to switch because of the wi-fi calling capability of cox. I have already escalated this through support and they have no answer except to refer to the web page linked above . Samsung phones were enabled in August 2023. I also asked about network extenders which we used to use with Verizon before they rolled out wi-fi calling. Cox mobile does not support network extenders. I know wi-fi calling is possible because we used to have it with Verizon on the same phones we currently have. When will cox mobile roll out in-home wi-fi calling for other android devices like a Google Pixel 7? If there is no firm date or at least a target date, then we will need to switch providers again. I successfully moved my email over to Yahoo. When I open Yahoo on my Google Pixel cell and click the Inbox, I receive email. However, I do not see a Compose or Contacts Button or any Folders. This is frustrating. I see no reason why the contour box should update every single day, each time it updates it freezes my contour box/TV. I have to reset everything. I like to watch CNN online and had been doing so for a long time with no issues. Suddenly, starting a few weeks ago, the following issue has been occurring: as the video is playing, a message will be displayed on the screen that says "The sub-error code and message will contain additional information about the underlying cause for this error. The result of one or more tracking beacons was unsuccessful". The video and audio continue to play, but controls are disabled, specifically, the mute / volume control, pause, rewind and fast forward. I have created my Yahoo account in my Mac OS mail, but I can't seem to bring it online-attempts to change it from offline to online are futile. Anyone with a Mac able to help? I tried Yahoo chat, the AI bot is useless and if I want help from Yahoo I have to pay. I can't stand Yahoo in the browser. I can't see the text very well b/c my eyes are old now. The ads are annoying and I will drop Cox before I pay for Yahoo premium. We were looking for a reason to switch to the new Verizon 5g box. Might be now. I’m thinking about canceling my internet service. I talked to customer support to see what i would have to return if i canceled. They said i would have to return everything, including the outside cable they installed connecting to the telephone wires (not sure what to call them) to the inside of my house to the router. A cox electrician installed that wire. I’m not touching it. But they said I’m supposed to return it. And they aren’t saying if they will send someone to disconnect it. Has anyone completed the email transition to Yahoo? It would be appreciated if any Cox customer would answer this question. I have been trying to get some information about when; and all I receive from Cox is we don’t know. In my opinion this response is unbelievable - a significant customer service change and the company’s help response team can’t provide an answer is unbelievable - implies a lack of transparency or worst. So that’s why I am calling out to any Cox customer and provide some feedback about the “actual” transition. I and many of us have received the preliminary emails about the future.
