Cox email switch to Yahoo disaster
I have spent the entire morning, plus 3 phone calls, re "EMAIL transition". I have Outlook Cox email needing transition to Yahoo. Online discussions/Reddit, etc. states Yahoo does not accept Outlook transition. I also see some customers after much time/effort were able to do this. Customer service could not complete transition to Yahoo from Outlook (rep did try with no success), but suggested for $10 mo for Cox Help they could help me. This is the LAST STRAW....I have been a customer of Cox for 30 years with many ups/downs.....however, this EMAIL TRANSITION is a disaster. I can now only access my email thru the Cox email web; Outlook email does not work at all. I will be changing all services including internet, cable, phone, email @ $235 monthly bill ASAP.92Views0likes5Commentsmobile phone service
I ordered an online special from Cox the other day for $9.99 and paid online. On the order confirmation page, there is a message that says, Order pending. Next, let's quickly get in touch. It asks me to call customer service to provide additional information. The transaction reached my credit card. I called the 877 number and provided a rep with my confirmation number. The rep said it is not tied to my account. He eventually tried to get me to pay full price for the same phone. I chatted with 2 reps for over 1/2 hour, went over the problem and was eventually prompted to transfer to phone sales. I placed the order for a phone after logging into my account. I received an email today about an account change. It is very vague and mentions a promotional rate for 1 year that is approximately the amount of the bulk discount I expected to receive with my new mobile plan. I sent my concerns to cox.help@cox.net and have not received a reply. So here I am. There appears to be a technical problem with how Cox support is able to obtain customer information after they order and pay for mobile phone service.Solved8Views0likes3CommentsInternet connection throttled
Hello. There have been some days in a row where my Xbox Series X is being throttled. I can see the ping going from low ms to more than 500 ms. All my other devices are working ok. Does somebody with the same symptom and how to approach Cox to ask them to stop throttling my service? Kind regards23Views0likes1CommentTransferring Cox Email to Another Provider
If we choose not to accept the transfer of our Cox.net email address & content to Yahoo Mail and want instead to choose another email provider, is there a way to a) transfer/maintain our Cox.net address with another provider, or b) request Cox redirect our _.net mail to a new address? Thanks!62Views0likes2CommentsHelp me get help from Cox
We have had terrible internet for 7 weeks after a prolonged outage. Paying for 500 Mbps but have inconsistent speeds (15-500), high ping and frequent disconnects. Both wired and wireless devices have problems. Cox has sent 4 different guys over the last 2 weeks, and they all gave different takes on the issues from "bad footprint" to external wiring. They have replaced line to the box and from the box to the faceplate. Using Cox Gateway. The problems persist. Do I just keep asking for tech to be sent hoping that someone will finally be skilled enough to fix this? Or is there some other method to get Cox's attention? Also, how do I get a refund for bad service?59Views1like8CommentsInternet drops; zero upload
For the last year, my internet intermittently drops or grinds to a sluggish pace. I have gigablast, have Eero Pro 6 routers all through the house, have an Arris sb8200 modem (which per Cox is compatible and I have used prior versions over the years with no issue). I even bought another Arris sb8200 to see if first one was bad. I have had Cox out to my house at least 6 times in last year to investigate but not one tech can "find the problem" but they tinker with things every time they come. Sometimes it goes out in the morning before work, sometimes midday, sometimes at night. Happens when I am the only one home working or when whole family is home working, streaming, gaming. I am about to lose my mind over this. I have had Cox for almost 15 years and no issues until about a year ago. All the equipment and plan I have I've had for more than a year so to me, it can't be the equipment, and I have the fastest plan. So all signs point to the problem being on Cox's end. But they have checked the street, the outside of the house, the inside of the house, with no solution. If anyone has a suggestion I am all ears. The only thing I don't want to do is get the Panoramic Wifi modem if at all possible. I've never needed it before and prefer not to use it since it is a modem and router and I am happy with my Eero routers and don't want to have to replace them.6Views0likes0Comments
