Class action???
Yahoo is one of the most unsecured emails. They have had many breaches in data and cyberattacks. They own your info because it is free and they are known for selling your info. I was shocked when I went to open my email and was locked out. The only option is to agree to yahoo’s terms of agreement which I will have to waive my rights. I have been a customer for cox for 15 years and I am going to drop them like a bad habit. We should file a class action against them!!!!24Views0likes0CommentsEmail Switch to Yahoo and Outlook
Unable to connect Outlook using POP or IMAP instructions for Yahoo Mail. It appears Yahoo is not set up for Outlook to connect our Cox.net email accounts to their POP or IMAP servers (pop.mail.yahoo.com or imap.mail.yahoo.com). Suspect the servers are rejecting anything that isn't a yahoo.com extension. One would of thought Yahoo would have planned for this ahead of time for the Cox.net extensions. When I was able to talk with a person, their suggestion was to wait 24 hrs. and try again. i.e. trying too soon after the switch The switch to Yahoo mail is anything but good. Since switching, about half the time Yahoo is not available and/or takes repeated logins. Yahoo's AI chat bot (AKA Help) is not set up to be much assistance to those with a Cox.net extension. Yahoo wants you to pay for premium service to resolve all but the very basic issues. Always referring you to a tutorial on Yahoo's help page.... which most have already looked at before starting a chat.Solved3.6KViews6likes49CommentsBounce-back notification on deleted email account?
I did not choose to accept the forced transfer to Yahoo mail. Instead, after receiving the surprise email from Yahoo one morning & being locked out of the webmail interface, I utilized Outlook to download my emails from the POP server and did my best to delete the account. I say did my best because once you're locked out of webmail, the hotlink to "Delete email" under your email address on the Manage Users windows isn't there. But support assures me it's deleted. So my question is, why do I not receive a bounce-back notification (aka failed delivery message) when emailing that address from another account? Useful answers, not just links to this page, much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Cox Cable & Internet Customer34Views0likes3CommentsCox website won't display my bill
Has anyone had this problem? When I log into the Cox website and navigate to Billing, I can't display my bill for April. I get the message "We're unable to display your PDF statement at this time. Please try again or chat with us for quick support." Same thing for my March bill. But February displays JUST FINE. And other earlier months as well. It's not a connection problem: the rest of the site seems to work. It's not that I don't know were to find the page, because I can display older bills. But the current month and the one before give me errors when I try to select them. Has anyone else had this problem?21Views0likes1CommentCox has disappointed me yet again.
This is a repeat from previous discussions. First, one of my email accounts was unavailable after numerous attempts as COX FORCED me to move to YAHOO - there was NO option and NO option to delete my email account. I followed COX's instructions to "Reactivate" and as usual they are invalid as there was NO such option. When I moved to YAHOO (no option), It would not even let me relabel it to something more meaningful. When I went the web version to see my mailbox - I get the "run around". I am done working with inept people that only want more money and provide less services. In addition to removing my email account, it deleted all notes attached to that account. Forcing me to re-invent. My suggestion to all COX users is just find another host for all your services. As a cox client for over 36 years - I AM DONE!!! I posted to another message that was marked "SOLVED". Not sure what it was marked solved as I see people are having issues. I use gmail and before this transition used POP to pull my cox.net email into my gmail. My cox.net account has been transferred to Yahoo. I logged into Yahoo's webmail using Cox.net and see current email there. The POP settings for Yahoo are not working. here are the settings and error message. This stuff is not rocket science. This is most likely poor planning and no testing. I knew I should have gotten away from cox.net email a loooonnng time ago20Views0likes0CommentsPlanned outage…scam?
I received a door hanger and email regarding a planned outage next week. Called CS and they said they didn't see any emails on that so ignore it. They've been diffing in the neighborhood and installing cable for several weeks. I work from home and need to know if this is a scam or not.30Views0likes1CommentAnother Yahoo Question (not recognized)
I have been procrastinating with the whole transition but finally remembered to do it today. One problem, I followed the instructions from Cox but Yahoo doesn't recognize my email. Tried it on my phone and now on my laptop and am coming up with nothing. If I'm being honest it could just be I'm dumb and not good at this kinda thing but at this point I'm stuck. Anyone had this same issue or know how to resolve? Or did I just miss the window for a normal transition?46Views0likes1Comment
