Jeff Abney Named Executive Director of Business Operations for Cox Communications

ATLANTA – The appointment of Jeff Abney to Executive Director of Business Operations for Cox Communications Inc. was announced today by Claus Kroeger, Senior Vice President of Operations.

Abney will work closely with Cox's Western Division systems to provide operational support and analysis. He will serve as a chief consultant on special projects, direct the planning budgeting and forecasting process for the division and assist with the creation, development and implementation of business solutions to assist operations in meeting their annual goals.

In making this announcement, Kroeger said: "Jeff's unique experience in large and small field operations as well as his experience at corporate make him a good fit for this position. His analytical skills, keen focus on our revenue and growth opportunities and his ability to leverage best practices across systems will serve him well in his new role."

Abney joined Cox in 1994 as a Regional Marketing Director during Cox's acquisition of Times Mirror. In 1998, he was named Marketing Director for Cox's Hampton Roads operation and joined Cox's corporate marketing team in 2000 as Field Marketing Director. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Marketing Operations.

Abney holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Emory University.
