Cox Communications Launches On Demand in its Tulsa, Greater Louisiana and Kansas Markets

ATLANTA- Cox Communications announced today the launch of On DEMAND (OD) in its Tulsa, Okla., Greater Louisiana and Wichita, Kan. operations. With these recent launches, On DEMAND is now available to more than 70% of Cox's digital subscribers. The service is also available in: San Diego and Orange County, Calif.; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Omaha, Neb.; Oklahoma City; New England; Hampton Roads, Roanoke and Northern Virginia and Cleveland, Ohio. Cox is planning additional market launches later this year.

"On DEMAND truly enhances our customers' television viewing experience by giving them more choice and control," said David Pugliese, vice president of product marketing. "On DEMAND gives us the opportunity to not only provide convenience and a library of hit movies, music videos, and premium channel content but also niche, non-linear programming that our customers can't get anywhere else."

On DEMAND offers Cox Digital Cable subscribers more than 1500 hours of entertainment and 8000 unique titles including hit movies and free programming from some of cables most popular networks. In addition, several Cox markets offer customers customized local content including shows featuring news and events from the cities Cox serves.

On DEMAND provides a 24-hour viewing window for movie purchases, allowing customers to view movies instantly or watch them at a later time. Over 500 hours of free On DEMAND content is available in the FreeZone area, where customers can select from categories including Kids, Sports, Features, Local on Demand, Music and more. Customers can also subscribe to additional libraries of unique content for a monthly fee.
