FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Atlanta, GA – December 16, 2016 – Midwest TV has pulled their programming from Cox’s lineup for Cox customers in San Diego. Cox’s agreement with Midwest expired at 12:00 a.m. local time, December 16, 2016. Midwest is withholding their programming because Cox won’t give them a price increase that is more than double the fees we currently pay over the term of the agreement for programming that is available free over the air. Excessive increases - like the one that Midwest is demanding – increase cable bills every year. Cox is actively negotiating to get the channels back at a reasonable price.
There is an alternate option while Midwest blocks their signal from Cox customers. CBS All Access offers a free 7-day trial, which will access CBS programming. Other options are available at www.coxcommitment.com.
