Chris Cagle, WRI's vice president, marketing and communications, says, "We continually evaluate and seek opportunities to expand our product offerings to benefit our retail partners and their customers. Cox's broadband services are a natural extension that builds upon our comprehensive offerings of popular service-based technology products."

"We are excited about our new partnership with Wireless Retail," explains Steve Asbell, manager of retail business development for Cox Communications. "WRI's convenient locations in our geographic footprint make it easy for consumers to learn about Cox High-Speed Internet where they like to shop, with the added benefit of WRI's highly knowledgeable sales consultants."

In Cox markets, 7 out of 10 high-speed Internet customers choose Cox over DSL. Cable's Internet connection speeds are typically faster than DSL, providing download speeds of up to 50 times faster, allowing Cox customers to go anywhere on the Web -- without the wait. In addition, Cox's reliable, high-speed fiber optics-based network is always-on, which means no dialing, no waiting and no busy signals ever.

According to Cox Communications research, 81 percent of Cox subscribers choose High-Speed Internet service from Cox for its speed; 47 percent choose Cox High-Speed Internet for its always-on access -- another significant time saver.

Wireless Retail pioneered the store-in-a-store model, placing professionally trained sales consultants in consumer friendly fixtures inside retail partners' stores to leverage existing traffic. Wireless Retail is the only company in the country currently operating this type of program in major national retail chains.

According to the terms of the agreement, WRI will initially sell Cox High-Speed Internet with possible plans to include Cox's video and telephony offerings at a later date.
