Cox Communications' Hospitality Network Division Selected by MGM MIRAGE to Provide Guest Technology Services; Agreement Includes Three of Nation's Largest Hotels

LAS VEGAS, Aug 22, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cox Communications' Hospitality Network division, the leading provider of in-room guest video and data technology services to the gaming industry, announced today that it has been selected by MGM MIRAGE, one of the world's leading and most respected hotel and gaming companies, to provide state-of-the-art in room services to 13 of the company's properties.

Hospitality Network will provide 13 of MGM MIRAGE's properties with the latest technology. Among services to be provided are digital in-room video-on-demand service, high-speed Internet service and in-room wireless keyboard access. The contract includes eleven of the company's Nevada properties with a total 19,307 rooms; Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi with 1,780 rooms, and a yet-to-be-built permanent facility for MGM Grand Detroit Casino in Detroit, Michigan with additional rooms. With the MGM MIRAGE agreement, Hospitality Network now provides its high-tech in-room services to more than 120,000 hotel rooms located in Las Vegas.
