ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 2003--Boys & Girls Clubs of America today announced that Cox Communications, Inc., has become a technology sponsor of the organization.
Cox, the nation's fourth-largest broadband communications company, will provide high-speed Internet and cable TV services to Boys & Girls Clubs in Cox's participating service areas.
Cox will provide Boys & Girls Club members with access to significant educational content enabled by broadband technology. Cox also will support the organization in additional ways, including airing public service announcements and encouraging employees to volunteer at Club locations.
Cox already supports a number of local Boys & Girls Clubs in several markets, including Hampton Roads, Va., San Diego, Calif., and Las Vegas, Nev. Through the new partnership, the two organizations plan to expand these relationships into additional communities.
