ATLANTA – The appointment of Philip G. Meeks to Vice President of Cox Business was announced today by Mark Bowser, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In his new role, Meeks will oversee all marketing, operations, sales, product development and strategic partnership initiatives for Cox Business, Cox’s fastest growing business unit with more than 240,000 customers.
In making the announcement Bowser said: “This year, Cox Business celebrates 15 years of providing commercial services and Philip has the right combination of skills and experience to lead the organization into its next phase of growth.”
Prior to joining Cox, Meeks founded Channel Solutions Inc., a company focused on enhancing the supply chain between technology vendors and value added resellers. In his last role at MCI as Senior Vice President of Strategic Ventures and Alliances, Meeks grew alliance revenue from $0 to $209 million in two years through strategic ventures and partnerships. Those alliances include the CableNet initiative to sell consumer IP-based telephony services through several cable providers nationwide as well as technology partnerships with Cisco Systems, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard.
