ATLANTA, Jul 8, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Cox Communications, Inc., one of the nation's leading providers of advanced broadband communications services, is defining its brand image with a new advertising campaign that introduces the tagline, "Your Friend in the Digital Age."
"The new positioning truly defines our high-tech, high-touch approach for broadband services," said Joe Rooney, Cox's senior vice president of marketing. "It's a promise to our customers that we will continue to use our advanced technology and expertise to bring customer-friendly, cutting-edge products and services to their homes. It's what truly sets us apart from our competitors."
Rooney continued, "Cox delivers the best high-tech digital services without losing focus of our customers as people. When we tell customers that we're a friend, we remind them that even as we forge ahead with new technology, we won't leave them behind."
Cox is already keeping true to its promise by offering a complete bundle of broadband communications services, identifying ways to make it easier to do business with Cox and testing advanced technologies that customers want, such as high-definition television and video on demand.
The "Your Friend in the Digital Age" campaign, which centers on demonstrations of the many ways Cox is a friend to its customers, is airing locally on Cox Communications cable systems and some local broadcast media. Developed in conjunction with Doner Advertising, the campaign was shaped by both qualitative and quantitative research processes. According to Rooney, focus groups confirmed that customers know Cox is capable of delivering the high-tech services that they want and that they count on Cox's people to make it easy.
