"With an expanded tier structure that creates flexible solutions, Cox Business Internet is the perfect Internet access solution for a diverse group of growing companies whose common denominator is the need for change and the potential for growth," said Paul Golden, vice president of marketing for Cox Business Services.
Launched last year under a three-tiered umbrella, Cox Business Internet has been tremendously successful in propelling the adoption of broadband. Subscriber growth has increased as much as 100 percent in some areas, with converts from dial-up and ISDN services the most frequent type of new subscriber, according to Cox Business Services.
The pricing tiers are based on bandwidth speed -- the faster the connection the higher the rate, with no restriction on the number of users.
Cox Business Internet's new tiered portfolio will range from 256Kb symmetrical to 3Mb/384Kb with options to fit a variety of business needs and sizes - from home office users to large corporate sites. The range of tiered options will satisfy businesses looking to perform occasional web browsing and email, as well as businesses looking toward higher-end access solutions to support on-site hosting and large file exchange.
Optional features available include additional IP addresses, basic and premium email accounts, Cox managed router services, managed VPN solutions, web-conferencing services for remote offices / workers, and web hosting services. All Cox Business Internet products are equipped with commercial grade support which includes a four hour MTTR (Mean time to repair) as well as the ability to run commercial applications such as VPNs and servers on the network.
