Jeff Abney Named Vice President of Business Operations

ATLANTA – The promotion of Jeff Abney to Vice President of Business Operations for Cox Communications Inc. was announced today by Claus Kroeger, Senior Vice President of Operations.

Abney will continue to work closely with Cox's Western Division systems to provide operational support and analysis. He serves as a chief consultant on special projects, directs the planning, budgeting and forecasting process for the division and assists with the creation, development and implementation of business solutions to support operations in meeting their annual goals.

In making this announcement, Kroeger said: "This promotion highlights Jeff's broad skill sets in marketing and business operations, his unique field and corporate experience and his solid execution across all of the many facets of this role. He is a valued resource among our systems and is an important contributor to moving our strategies forward.

Abney joined Cox in 1994 as a Regional Marketing Director during Cox's acquisition of Times Mirror. In 1998, he was named Marketing Director for Cox's Hampton Roads operation and joined Cox's corporate marketing team in 2000 as Field Marketing Director and later Executive Director of Marketing Operations. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Business Operations.

Abney holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Emory University.
