Cox Communications Names Tracy Nolan Vice President of Retail

ATLANTA - Cox Communications, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Tracy Nolan as the company's vice president of retail. In this role, Nolan will manage all retail operations and sales strategy for Cox's current products and emerging new wireless portfolio. Her responsibilities will include retail operations, selection strategy, promotions and inventory management. 

 

"With the launch of wireless, Cox will aggressively expand its retail presence to allow customers to purchase our products and services in ways that are most convenient for them," said Joe Rooney, chief marketing officer, Cox Communications. "Tracy has global experience in strategic planning, channel development, organizational transformation and the wireless industry. Her unique skills and background will help Cox quickly add new revenues and continue our growth through wireless services."

 

Nolan previously served as president and CEO of T.E.N. Management Solutions, a business consulting firm, and North American chief operating officer of ACN, the largest direct seller of telecommunications services in the world.

 

She first entered the wireless industry as a manager of stores for Frontier Cellular and progressed through sales management to become a regional president of Verizon Wireless in Illinois/Wisconsin. Prior to joining Frontier Cellular, Nolan directed sales at a privately funded specialty retail store.

 

Nolan holds a bachelor's degree in marketing research and management information systems from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., where she received the Woodstock Award in 2006 for outstanding leadership and accomplishments by an alumnus. Nolan was twice honored with a Forty under Forty Awards - in Chicago and upstate N.Y - and received the "Influential Women in Business" award in Chicago.

 

Tracy and her husband recently moved to Atlanta from Charlotte. They have three children, and, in their spare time, enjoy sports and community service that impacts children in need.
