ATLANTA – The promotion of David Pugliese to Senior Vice President of Product Marketing for Cox Communications Inc. was announced today by Joe Rooney, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
Pugliese will continue to oversee Cox's initiatives in the areas of product marketing for video, Internet, telephone and wireless products, bundling, competitive strategy and customer retention strategy.
In making the announcement, Rooney said: "David clearly knows the business and is equally versed on the operations of our competitors. He goes further than just having solid business acumen - he effectively leverages his knowledge and relationships to further Cox's success. He has consistently developed and launched winning marketing strategies to keep Cox competitive and deepen our relationships with our customers. He is certainly deserving of this promotion."
Pugliese joined Cox in 1996 as Executive Director of Voice and Data Marketing and was instrumental in launching and growing both products. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Product Marketing. Prior to joining Cox, he developed his telecommunications industry marketing, product management, and general management expertise through various positions with AT&T, Frontier Telephone and Global Crossing.
Pugliese holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from Clarkson University and earned an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition, he has participated in executive education programs through the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard University. David is an active member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and is currently serving as co-chairman of its Telephony and Digital Transition Committees.
