ATLANTA – Cox Communications received a special diversity award this month from DiversityInc recognizing it as the Top Company for Talent Pipeline. Cox was one of only seven companies honored for their consistent leadership in diversity initiatives.
Cox President Pat Esser accepted the award as part of DiversityInc’s event, “How Leadership Expresses Diversity Commitment.”
“We’re honored to be recognized by DiversityInc for our Talent Pipeline,” commented Esser. “This recognition is truly a testament to all the executives, managers and supervisors at Cox who work hard to ensure not only that Cox attracts a diverse workforce, but that all employees receive the training, development and mentoring needed to grow and thrive in our company.”
The company was chosen for this exclusive award based on DiversityInc’s exclusive knowledge of Cox’s diversity initiatives after a decade of collecting and analyzing in-depth diversity-management data as part of its DiversityInc Top 50 research.
“Cox has always been a strong organization for recruitment, and its efforts to bring in talent from under-represented groups and help those people develop have been quite remarkable," said Luke Visconti, CEO of DiversityInc. "With 401 companies participating in the DiversityInc Top 50 last year, we are in the unique position of being able to evaluate which companies are really setting the bar on diversity-management initiatives."
