ATLANTA – The promotion of Mimi Thigpen to Senior Vice President of Strategy for Cox Communications, Inc. was announced today by Dallas Clement, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development.
Thigpen will continue developing strategies that will fuel Cox's growth, competitive position, and success in a dynamic business environment. She will lead and facilitate the company's strategic planning and development process through analysis of market and competitive scenarios and a continuous evaluation of emerging products and new business opportunities.
When making the announcement, Clement said: "Mimi has a strong understanding of technology, business models, our customers and competition. Since joining Cox, she has continuously demonstrated her ability to lead, develop and implement successful strategies across products and facilitate strategic-decision discussions with our leadership. Her contributions have been critical to Cox's positioning and strategic vision."
Most recently, Thigpen served as Vice President of Strategy. Prior to joining Cox, she served as Managing Director of BearingPoint, Inc., where she was responsible for providing business advisory and systems integration services for companies in the communications and media industries. Previously, she served as a Partner with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and as a Worldwide Program Manager for the Hewlett-Packard Company.
A graduate of Clemson University, Ms. Thigpen holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematical and Computer Sciences with a concentration in Business Administration, Marketing and Finance.
