Margaret Acker-Blardo Promoted to Director of Training and Development for Cox Communications

ATLANTA – The promotion of Margaret Acker-Blardo to Director of Training and Development, New Products and Services for Cox Communications Inc. was announced today by Erin Hand, Vice President, Talent and Development.

In her new role, Acker-Blardo will be responsible for strategies and training solutions that support implementation of new products and services in Cox's video, Internet, telephone and wireless businesses.

In making the announcement, Hand said, “Margaret's ability to regularly design and execute training components to support new product launches, she is a valued business partner to our Product Management colleagues.”

Acker-Blardo joined Cox in 1998 as Learning Consultant, with a focus on performance consulting and organizational effectiveness. She was promoted to Manager, National Curriculum Development in 2000. Prior to joining Cox, she worked as an educational consultant with Aetna/U.S. Healthcare for nearly 17 years.

Acker-Blardo graduated from Manchester Community College in Manchester, Conn. where she received an associate's degree in Business Administration. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications at Central Connecticut State University.
