Mary James Promoted to Executive Director of Training and Development for Cox Communications
Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA – The promotion of Mary James to Executive Director, Training and Development for Cox Communications Inc. was announced today by Erin Hand, Vice President of Talent and Development.

James will continue to manage a team dedicated to developing Cox's frontline employees, with responsibility for design, development and evaluation of learning solutions for the company's broad range of businesses.

In making the announcement, Hand said, "Mary brings more than 20 years of operational and corporate experience to this position which has contributed to our ongoing success in aligning training solutions with corporate strategies. She is a valuable and recognized leader in the training community."

James joined Cox in 1995 through its merger with Times Mirror Cable Television as a Training Manager, where she was responsible for design and delivery of regional training. Prior to joining Cox, she held a variety of positions in customer care and training for Times Mirror Cable Television.

James received a bachelor's degree in History from Providence College in Providence, R.I.
