Erin Govednik Promoted to Executive Director of Human Resources Technology For Cox Communications
Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA – The promotion of Erin Govednik to Executive Director, Human Resources Technology for Cox Communications Inc. was announced today by Mae Douglas, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer.

In her new role, Govednik will be responsible for setting the direction for all HR technology needs for Cox. Additionally, she will continue to partner with field operations and Information Technology to set business requirements.

In making the announcement, Douglas said, "For several years now, Erin has spent her time formulating and implementing our Human Resources Technology strategy to move Cox forward in its use of applications that support our ability to measure the effectiveness of our people programs and help guide decisions on employees. She is certain to achieve the same for all HR technology critical to our business."

Govednik joined Cox in 2001 as Director of Human Resources Management Systems where she has managed several of Cox's HR technology functions, including payroll, learning and development, recruiting, regulatory reporting, self-service tools and HR metrics. Prior to joining Cox, Govednik served as an HR generalist with Cascade Fabrication and National Services Industries before moving into HR Technology consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Govednik received a bachelor's degree in Business from Florida State University and an MBA in Management from the University of Oregon.
