ATLANTA – The promotion of Mark McGuire to Vice President of Solutions Delivery for Cox Communications was announced today by Scott Hatfield, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.
In his new role, McGuire will be responsible for all project-oriented, solution delivery activities within the IT department. He will oversee the teams supporting Customer Care and Field Services, Engineering, Billing, Administration Systems, and the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
In making the announcement, Hatfield said, "Mark has been an instrumental leader in some of our largest and most complex applications. His efforts to deliver efficient application solutions for our finance, human resources and customer care departments have had a significant impact on how we do business. Mark has consistently demonstrated solid judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to success in everything he does. I'm very happy to recognize his efforts with this promotion.
McGuire joined Cox in 2001 as Director of Enterprise Applications. Prior to joining Cox, he served as Chief Technology Officer for MetalSpectrum.com. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Enterprise Applications.
McGuire holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and a master's degree in Finance and Economics from Ohio State University.
