Speeds increased to meet needs of multi-device households

PHOENIX – Cox Communications today announced that it made its Ultimate High Speed Internet service three times faster and significantly increased the speeds of its other popular tiers of Internet service.  With broadband speeds as fast as 150Mbps, Cox is continuing to provide its customers the fastest speeds in Arizona.  The new speeds have automatically gone into effect (no action from Cox customers is needed).

"Our customers tell us that speed matters," stated Steve Rizley, Sr. Vice President & General Manager, Cox Communications SW Region.  ""This marks the 14th speed increase in the last five years in Arizona.  We know this is especially important in today's connected world where more and more devices are connected through the in-home WiFi networks Cox enables. We will continue to invest in our network to bring our customers the best online experience possible."

To achieve the best online experience with these new speeds, it's key that customers have the most advanced equipment (DOCSIS 3.0 modem technology may be required to achieve maximum speeds for some packages).  Cox offers customers the newest equipment technology available to ensure they can take advantage of the fastest in-home WiFi available in the market.

Cox offers a wide array of broadband service packages designed to suit anyone's needs, from the casual email user to power gamers and households with multiple family members using the Internet simultaneously.  Cox also offers the most compelling combinations of speeds and features, with all customers receiving free cloud storage; 24/7 live, online sports coverage from ESPN; and Cox Security Suite, a comprehensive package of Internet security tools to help ensure online safety with anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-phishing, parental controls and more.
